Dug a test pit on the SE aspect of Apex Proper at 2200 m. Had a hard planar result (CTH25) down about 45 cm. Noticed 2 other planar surfaces only 3 or 4 cm's below that but had no movement on them during the test. Snow above that was supportive and made for some stellar riding. North aspect of Rons was fantastic, surprisingly little wind loading and again nice supportive powder. Temps warmed around 2 pm to just above zero briefly, and on a 2nd lap the top 10 cms began sloughing.
