Emerald/Top Hat Loop

Judging by the lack of min’s, seems like no one skis the Emerald Lake area these days. So here is a collection of photos I took this afternoon while doing the Emerald/Top Hat traverse. Of note, there was an impressive amount of debris filling up Emerald Creek (pic 7) that looked to have originated off the south slopes above. Other notes.. the skin track up the Hamilton Lake Trail (pic 1) is in amazing shape. Strong winds at the S end of Hamilton Lake, but not too windy else where, except at the Emerald/Top Hat col. Nice to be above the clouds in the sun above 1900m!
