Great storm skiing in the trees of the shames slackcountry. Numerous ski-cut storm slabs from size 1 to size 1.5 with a notable ski cut stepping down deeper than the storm snow on previously buried wind slab. See the avalanche report.
Numerous Sc SS avalanche Sz 1 to 1.5 from steep slopes above 40 degrees going from thin to thick snowpack areas. One Sc released a Sz 1 SS down 30 cm to 50 cm, that ran a few meters before stepping down 80 cm to 1oo cm on old and buried Ws overlaying a MFcr/Fc complex
SE to W lees showing anywhere from 30 cm to 80 cm of low-density snow overlaying MFcr and buried wind slabs. Windward slopes that were observed today were stripped back to previous surface.
