I've been out the last two days, yesterday up to 9000 ft and then today over 10K. Yesterday I found 65cm of settled snow with 3 distinct faceting crusts on the dead north. My ECTs didn’t produce any results other than breaks. Today I started on SE and found 85 cm of snow with about 10 cm of basal facets which my ECT failed on 22 taps propagating across the entire column but failing to fall off the block. On the north side there was about 50% more snow, 125cm where I measured. I only saw one really bad weak layer which was just above the ground, a melt-freeze or rain crust that was faceting. My test failed on top of that layer ECTP 22 RP Q3. Again the block did fall into the pit. The snowpack is supportive, and I was able to cautiously ride my bike off the road above 9000.
