Just dug one pit to do an ECT. Test result was ECTP23 85cms down on small grains facets beneath a crust (rime?). The shear quality was Q1 and fracture character was sudden planar. I continued testing on the remaining snow and the deep PWL failed at ECTN29. The basal snow was loose and unconsolidated in this pit but the grains were rounding. Moderate danger where I traveled today.
