Spent Saturday and Sunday skiing McMurdo Cabin area. Excellent dry snow on true N aspects above 2200m. Everywhere else had a surface crust. 20-40cm on the mid April crust, appeared to be bonding well. There were some moderate downflow winds but no windslab observed. We saw minimal avalanche activity - only some small wet loose and one large slab on Twin Towers Peak (see photo) - likely from during the recent storm. Lots of big lines were skied with minimal sluffing. Probed 2.5m+ on the glacier and saw no visible sags etc. The sled in was interesting with lots of "dirtmobiling". Would recommend driving to at least the 42km now some more snow has melted.
