For our final day of the season we went wandering to explore possible access for next season.
The forecast freezing level didn't pan out for us and we found it extremely warm very early in the day. Our day involved mainly valley bottom travel with isothermal snow by 11am keeping the sleds cool.
We did however get lots of visual observations on many slopes and saw several wet loose avalanches to size 2 and we expect the freezing level rose to 1400m.
Its going to be a scorcher this weekend more so than last weekend so we are expecting the possibility of the Jan 26th PWL to re awaken.
Today was our last field day so if you're out and about it would be great to hear from you in the MINs so we can all get some more great spring skiing in with some field information!
Thanks for following along with us this season! We are already looking forward to the next one!
