French Haig Robertson

Skiied FHR Traverse in good conditions today. Left the car 6:00am with -6C at the parking lot. Quick travel on the skin track. Lots of debris (wet loose size 1-2) off the West face of Mount French and South face of Mount Robertson. Started the bootpack (2750m) up Robertson Col 10:20am at -2C under hot sun. 3 parties came up the FHR traverse, while another few groups avoided the south facing component and toured up Robertson Glacier itself (smart, safe plan!)Top section of the Robertson Glacier rode great with ~10cm of creamy powder. As you ride down it transitions to a breakable crust (2-3cm) and finally to hard pack w/ good grip. Fun day.
