Kindergarten Couloir

Shooting cracks observed in one spot while skinning up the cone to the base of the couloir. We turned around in the upper part of the couloir after hand shears revealed widespread stiff windslab 20-40cm thick, above the area which had previously slid. Felt unlikely to slide but very serious if it did.

Large amount of avalanche debris below the couloir. Appeared to have slid from about halfway up the couloir, since the last snowfall.
