Wet

Went out to investigate the rain line. Ski conditions on Prayer Flags were somewhat enjoyable, heavy and wet but easy to surf on top. Snowing at the base of the run (~950m) but barely (11am). Dug a quick hole to see what was going on at 1200m. HS 320cm, HST around 80cms. The top 40cms are saturated and wet with a noticeable rain or freezing rain layer down 20. The next 40cms are dense but don't seem to be rain saturated. A quick and not particularly scientific column test yielded sudden planar results down 20 on the obvious rain interface (CT5) and down 80cm on the storm interface (CT12; Dec 28th suspected facets). Not a lot of viz while we were out, but if it clears up this afternoon maybe someone will post an avalanche update from the hill. We saw debris in Iron Curtain, as well as a large debris fan at the base of Bloodlust Bowl from the road, but couldn't see anything else.
