The snow on the west facing slope of twin lakes was hard, wind packed, and had minimal coverage.
We skinned up the east facing slope of twin lakes and there was great snow coverage and a light wind slab on the top. The first run down was skiers left of LSD and had pockets where large sluff was releasing. The second run down was farther skiers left where the slope was more low angle and protected by trees. The snow there was amazing and the light wind crust did not exist. We skied out through the creek, which had good coverage.
