Cold but DEEP

Bundled up at -20 and headed out to Mear lake where we saw numerous natural storm slab avalanches from alpine NE-SE facing slopes. Mainly size 1 with 2x size 2. We think they happened within the last 12 -24 hours. With obvious evidence that the new snow was not safe we stuck to mellow slopes well away from overhead hazards and had amazing riding. Over the handlebars good!
