AST2 Field Day. Good riding in the burn, sunny and warm, southerly winds. Well settled snow pack with some layers of concern. Cracking observed, some areas with slab development reactive to skier activity below treeline. Evidence of wind slab formation observed in the alpine. Evidence of a natural size 2 observed on the slopes above the south end of Cameron lake. Dug pits at 2021 m elevation, on an E aspect in an open glade. Slope angle 22°. HS 145. ECTP15 down 85 on MFcr Dec 9. RS3 MB down 80 on PP. Well preserved stellar layer observed down 80 with regional variation.
