Beautiful day in the alpine! Widespread wind affect on the glacier. 10-15cm of ski penetration, tough trailbreaking at times with a punchy wind slab.
Peeked at the Forever Young but backed off due to stiff, stubborn wind slab in the entrance we didn't feel great about.
Skied north side of Youngs, no major instabilities noted. Wind slabs are definitely around but seem pretty stubborn at this point.
Coverage still thin in certain areas. Lots of boulders and rocks to navigate both in and out of the Young's Traverse. Getting onto the Illecillewaet was manageable, we mostly followed a skin track that headed towards Glacier Crest and then popped left once we were near the toe of the glacier.
