- <p>Observed wind loading above 7000 feet on cutler ridge. Strong winds transporting new snow leeward to east and north facing aspects with on and off S-1 snowfall. Natural strom cycle, soft slab avalanches observed as well as cracking and collapsing. </p> <p>12 + inches of new snow at 8000 ft. is deeper and heavier where the wind transported forming a cohesive slap above our existing poor snow pack. Where faceted snow is still present at the ground we could see larger more dangerous avalanches. </p>
