Larger avalanche, 3 feet deep and 170-200 feet wide, perhaps naturally triggered, in northern avalanche path that drains into Coldwater canyon, before the skier's right dog leg that takes you into the bottom of Coldwater Canyon, at maybe about 6900-6500 feet elevation. Also, large fracture, maybe 3 feet deep, and 3 feet wide, ready to roll on what appear at around 6500-7000 feet on the chute that runs parallel and east of Banana chute. After many days tearing up Hell's with no problems this zone appears to have different characteristics and hazards than Hell's has been having in the last two week. I was skiing safe anchor to safe anchor, totally sketched out. FYI
