- <p>Obvious wind loading and cornice formation on ridge lines along with cross loaded gullies from the winds since the last storm. </p>
Snow pit dug on NE aspect at 7800' just below a sub ridge on an open slope. HS 285cm. CT14 SC@ 265cm on P hard wind slab, CT 29 RP@ 230cm. This setup seemed to be in isolated areas below ridges and was fairly easily avoidable at 8000' and below.

Variable surface conditions with a mix of crusts, wind blown snow both soft and hard, and Some soft snow still on shady and sheltered slopes.
