Quick report
Dug a snow pit on west facing aspect around tree line. Unsure of slope angle but depth measured 154cm, possibility of wind deposited snow increased depth in this area. Observed clear layers in the form of thicker, harder slabs and powdery layers in between, but no signs of instability. Last significant snowfall was over a week ago, last snowfall was two days prior with 1/2 inch. Obs were taken during clear skies, light to moderate wind out of the east across the lake, temp was around 30 degrees Fahrenheit.
