While skies were overcast and visibility to upper elevations was limited, we saw no signs of instability along Trail 1 or during the low-elevation afternoon tour up to 6,564ft elevation. We found 20 cm of new snow at our snack location. The wind was moderate, gusting to the upper end of moderate and the temp was -8C. HS 191cm. Slope angle 18 on N aspect. Boot pen 27cm.
