Quick report

6-12" of lighter snow lower on the climb with density increasing with elevation. A very light crust on top of new snow. Test slopes on the south aspect were very resistant to movement, collapse, sliding. Pleasantly surprised with the settled nature of the snow on top and in the bowl. Dug a very small pit and found the new snow well integrated with previous layers, no obvious rain/crust or weak layers in the top 18-24". Took 2 laps in the bowl, snow was thick but skiing well, no cracks, whoomps or slides. Looked like the cornice on the north end of the peak dropped yesterday and a small amount of debris was visible.
