Quick report

Cracking
specific

No whumpfing or obvious signs of deeper instability. The cracking wasn't observed until the descent.

Avalanche

A small avalanche was triggered on the North aspect of Todd Ridge, "Sherwood Forest" below tree line. The storm layers haven't bonded well and separated easily. The slide had 4" crown and was 80' wide, triggered on a short 36-38 degree pitch. The skier was easily able to ski off and away from the slide. The slide didn't propagate to any deeper layers; it was inconsequential today, but something to keep an eye on as more snow accumulates.
