Broke to the left of the skiier as they skiied from one tree zone to the next.
Slid a full 1000ft down through the chute below. Slick crust bed surface was the culprit. The sun just came out 2 minutes before the slide was triggered, so heat induced effects were likely not involved.
Was very surprised after we started having a very stable snowpack. By everything that has been observed lately though, I am not surprised. Excess snow that remained along the periphery of the slide path was very touchy. We skiied the bed surface to avoid any further activity.
