- <p>Almost all red flags were observed today. Driving up Logan Canyon we observed dozens of wet loose avalanches from the goose neck at the Dugway up through the Blind Hollow River Chutes. Beaver Canyon had multiple wet slab and wet loose avalanches including some ending higher up on the steep wooded slope above the road to the east. The entire slope across from the Beaver backside parking had avalanches all over it. The north end of Beaver Canyon slid enough to cover part if not all of the highway. There was also cracking/slab sagging all along the Beaver Backside. I belive most of this activity occurred overnight last night or early this morning. We experienced numerous booming collapses on west and east-facing terrain between 8000 and 8800 feet. We had several shooting cracks 25 feet off the tips of our skis. We traveled solely in low angle terrain intentionally and experienced all signs of instability. Dug a few quick pits with an average of ECTP14 at the old snow/new snow interface. Very clean failure. </p>
Forecast verified today despite lower than forecast water/snow numbers due to widespread weak snow surface, strong winds, and warming temperatures.

Medium to high density "powder" today above 8000'. Inverted in most areas with a 3" wind slab sitting atop 11-12" of "lighter" new snow since Friday eve. Very surfy but droppy conditions. Old tracks were almost covered up but still just visible in most areas. We were headed to the Football Field but changed plans due to wind exposure. By 3 pm, the already dense snow became even more dense and droppy due to warming temps.
