We observed a small D1.5 avalanche on steep terrain that appeared to release yesterday or overnight on the uppermost mid December AR crust. There was some sloughing on short steep slopes terrain otherwise there were no other signs of cracking or collapsing. Generally soft unconsolidated snow and good skiing above the crust. Snowpack
We dug a quick pit on the NNE face at 6420 feet above Kona result was ECTX. The slab overlaying the uppermost crust lacked cohesion. The density at the top of new snow was observed as fist hardness to 4 fingers at the bttom.
