Quick report

- Signs of warming on the ride out included rollers on southerly and westerly aspects below 5500’ and 2 x very small wet loose avalanches originating from cliffs on a southerly slope at 6000’. - We found open areas at mid-elevations harboring wind affected snow and watched continued loading through mid-day. Flagging visible on Diamond peak. - In loaded areas, we experienced localized cracking. The top 3” of this stiff (4F) snow, seemed to become more moist with the brief, but glorious afternoon sun. Test slopes were non-reactive. - Ample visibility on Stryder’s steep snowed no recent activity on its NE and E slopes.
