Quick report
NE Aspect 9600' FC 1-1.5 mm at the surface capped with a wafer thin temp crust. Every turn would produce a small harmless facet sluff that ran the entire length of the couloir (~400ft). I found these dry weak surface facets in shady forested terrain as I wrapped back around the NE ridge @ ~9200 ft. Once you reach the SE canted side of the ridge the surface is wet and sloppy. Dug a quick hand pit as well. further up the ridge. N Facing at 9869' Hand pit: Surface of dry cold FC capped with a wafer thin temp crust./// Surface>>6" down:1F hard layer ////Below that is F+ hard Facets for at least 6" did not investigate further down. Took moderate to hard force to hand shear the 6" 1F layer from the underlying facets.
