A poor refreeze, glopping, and audible whumfing collapses led to an early turnaround. Whumfing was heard twice, both on east-facing slopes between 6000-7000ft. A poor refreeze (if any?) down low made for sticky travel conditions and roller balls/pinwheels on solar aspects before 10am, and the same on polar aspects after 10am. Ski out was variable and sticky at times.
