Snow surfaces remain wind damaged in the Thompson Pass corridor.  Found the new snow from 11/25 to have been blown away from wind exposed terrain.  Where this trace of new snow has been deposited on lee slopes and gullies like School Bus , it consisted of 1 inch or less of dense wind packed snow that was well bonded to knife hard surfaces below.  Ski cuts on shallow windslabs (1-2") formed by the new snow were unproductive.  Where this dense new snow did not exist, slide for life conditions were present.

Snowpack is thin and severely wind damaged.  knife hard wind scour, slabs on the lee side of terrain features and bare ground is the current state of the Thompson Pass snowpack.  The 1-2 inches of new snow that fell on 11/25 had already been redistributed by wind and was well bonded to old wind damaged surfaces where it had not been blown off.
