Quick report

We found the Persistent Weak Layer below the EOY crust, the test we make told us it is dificult to trigger, but showed us  propagation.

We observed some new snow instabilities below the thin <1mm surface crust that formed from freezing rain today.

  • Extended Colum Test results in the upper snow pack layers above EOY crust has no propagation results.
  • Propagation Saw Test produce a propagating results of PST 25/100 END down 70cm below EOY crust.
  • We found buried Surface Hoar down 25 cm and faceted layers in the upper snowpack.
