-
Some cracking in areas with facets. Soft off of the ridgeline. Shooting cracks up to 30' in drifts on the ridge, isolated.

Some collapsing in drifted areas on the ridge.

Snow pack is setting up towards the poor range.

My feeling is that there is just not enough overlaying snow in the faceted areas to cause a concern at this point. This was evidenced by one skintrack in the Jupiter area, this angle (30+) and aspect (north) would have slid in the Alta perimeter yesterday. Good reference comparison.

Spent some time kicking drifts/cornices on Scotts Peak, no slab below cornice and no reaction, same on Jupiter.

Generally not enough snow to ski, skinned up Puke Hill for the 1st time in my life.
Less snow than in the Alta area.
Low danger is for this area only......Primary danger is rocks.
