Quick report

Touring from the 108 to Leavitt Lake I noticed broken trees due to a slide from last year. East facing aspect at 8600’, snowpit dug on a 22 degrees slope with a depth of 109cm. ECT showed no propagation. Areas of concern are marked. “A” indicates an ice crust layer. “B” illustrates a crack within the snowpack. Further analysis shows 3 crust layers. Between E/F is facetted snow. Between F/G is rounded facets. The snowpack above the crust is very solid.
