We traveled from Snowbowl to the top of Snowslide and descended slightly for the first pit location (Attached). Across Snowslide, we had isolated cracking ~10cm down in wind-loaded pockets. No further signs of instability were observed. We had poor structure, low to moderate strength, and low-moderate propagation propensity within the pit profile in Snowslide. After completing the pit, we descended several hundred feet and ascended the south aspect of North Core Ridge. The upper north side of North Ridge had 6-10 inches of recent snow on rocks, and we carefully descended to a deeper snowpack, where we dug a second pit 100 feet below the top of the ridge. The second pit revealed poor structure, moderate strength, and low-moderate propagation propensity. We did have a small collapse within the snowpack near our pit but no further collapses were noted. After completing the pit, we returned to Snowbowl via the Humphreys Trail Saddle. Cracking was noted in isolated wind loaded pockets. Additionally, we had a single, small, and isolated collapse on the basal facets while loading a small test slope on the north aspect of North Core Ridge.
