Avalanche: South Monitor Bowl

Headed up to S Monitor for the first time this year, knew there was old faceted snow on the more northerly portions of the bowl. The wind was cranking super hard loading most of the new snow from the southerly facing slopes into S Monitor. Noted natural avalanches that had occurred earlier on in Katie’s Trees, and some of the N facing terrain in the main bowl. The slides appeared to be patchy and not connected but the wind was cranking so hard and the visibility was not very good on the exposed ridgeline. We experienced cracking and collapsing through the day, and there was a large quantity of dense snow being loaded onto the polar aspects. Noted slides photos due to lack of visibility but in the video you can see the debris pile in the trees, we could also see debris on the more northerly part of the main bowl.
