Quick report
Two snowpits dug on adjacent slopes 8-days apart, with no skier traffic and no measurable precipitation until today. Thought it might be an interesting study. Ice crusts were breaking down (currently .5cm thick, down from 1cm) without extensive faceting, making them even less reactive than before. Grom score 8 today, up from 6 last week. Of note: both test sites previously avalanched during mitigation work back on 12/4, making this location a poor representation of the backcountry.
