<p>There was some wind drifting, which I used to my advantage to keep from hitting the rocks. Didn't see any cracking or hear any collapsing so, at least where I was, it seemed tame. </p>

About 7 inches of new snow as of 1pm today. I found some nicely preserved graupel in between the melt-freeze crust and the new snow on an north-east facing slope at 8,800 ft. This makes sense, since I'm pretty sure we had a lightening event at the beginning of the storm...
