- <p>Small wind pocket 12-18" deep and 75' wide triggered by another skier beneath the slabs in Two Dogs. Ran on prefrontal dust layer. This weakness was stubborn by the time I got to it an hour later. Skier said he would submit an observation later. Photo 2 below. </p> <p>By early afternoon, prefrontal dust layer seemed welded in to the old crust on all aspects and elevations. pic 1. Thin layer of medium diameter graupel from frontal passage sits above this but does not appear to pose a problem for new snow instabilities. Shear planes found within the new snow but not representative of more than just that. </p>
Felt like skiing in early Nov: cold, excellent skiing, bony on souths.
