Quick report
Besides the avalanche, no other signs of instability were observed on our ascent or descent, though we kept the slope angle pretty tame. Very strong winds were actively loading and cross loading most of the terrain in the area. The new snow felt reasonably well bonded to the firm base on low angle terrain, but I'd imagine on steeper terrain, storm and wind slabs would be touchy.

Small, D1, mid-slope avalanche on Steep Chutes. While small in size, the debris reached the road, a common ascent route for folks heading up to the Nest. The rest of the face was actively loading with precip and strong wind. Apologies for the bad photos- visibility was marginal.
