New snowfall settled quickly due to warmer temperature and "slabbed up" easily. Ran more easily on crust buried on Monday from the longer clearing last week. Weak snow lingers on the north aspects beneath Mondays snowfall and may require a recalibration in mindset; we've highlighted the south half of the compass all season, but it may be time to take a closer look at the upper half of the snowpack on north aspects moving forward. Additionally, any clearing, even if brief, may a change the snow faster than expected. Terrain choices and aspects should be adjusted if any prolonged clearing occurs.
