Other than the avalanche no major instabilities were observed. Some spindrifts were seen when the wind was strongest mid morning . Some loose dry point releases seemed to have occurred during the storm or early morning.

The avalanche occurred on the second run of the day to the second rider to drop (first rider rode a more east aspect). The snowboarder was able to cut out of the avalanche and was not caught. The debris dissipated when it reached the open lower angle run out zone. The crown was approximately 9-12 inches at the deepest point, only the most recent snow was entrained in the avalanche . It ran for estimated 450 vertical feet. The third rider descended the easterly aspect with out incident. Some spindrifts were observed earlier in the day when the winds were higher. Some small point releases, that seemed to have occurred during the storm, were observed during the approach of the first run. The first run was on a similar aspect and slightly lower elevation, it produced some sluffs but no major instabilities were observed on the first run or either approach .
