To put it in perspective, this area received more snow in the past day and a half than the whole month up to this point, mostly in the past 24 hours, even if that is light. Which was 3" new snow and water 0.25" with 27" on the ground. Strong wind much of the night but that has died away in the last 2 hours. Currently obscured cloud cover with light W wind and snowing moderately. Total snowfall for December before Wednesday was just 3½" so the current 'storm' of 6" is a big deal.
