- Traveled very conservatively in non-avalanche terrain to observe instabilities -Observed isolated wind slab instability on NW facing aspects near treeline. Attempted to intentionally trigger windslabs in small rollovers many times and only one attempt produced small shooting cracks - Observed one audible collapse on low angle, NE terrain. Subsequently dug a pit. ECTP12 that failed at 40cm on a 4f layer below an ice crust.
