Wet loose

Skier sluff ran slowly for about 100m on 34 deg slope and gained mass. Moved slow and was well behind skier. Was in clearing skiers right of iron curtain. Ran on a layer within the snow above the crust. Bed surface was soft and skiable. Similar layer depth was noted in earlier hand shear tests.
