We went for a tour up to Healy Pass today and skied very conservative terrain. Variable conditions were present due to wind affect, but areas that weren’t crusted contained excellent dry powder and made for some great skiing!
Snowpack
We dug a pit (not full size) and completed a quick compression test with a CT26 sudden drop result on the interface between a 5cm thick crust and facets at approximately 45cm depth (see photo). We did fill the pit in for anyone wondering :)
