I triggered a very small loose dry sluff in a soft pillow of snow on a northerly aspect at about 5,800ft.

Snowpack
Snow surfaces were generally cold and faceting, unless in direct sun they were moistening with what appeared to be a thin layer of facets above.
I found the weak structure with facets over the early February Crust in many locations, but more prominent on shaded slopes. Southerly aspects hold a series of weak crusts with faceted layers mixed in.
I dug on a S aspect at 6,400ft, finding an HS of 140cm. There was a thick layer of surface hoar 15cm down, and facets above the early Feb Crust 45cm down. There were a few weaker suncrusts above this. CTM, RP and ECTN, M on these facets above the EFC.
