Right Gully

Many large and destructive avalanches in most steep ski terrain. Avalanches not documented occurred in: Empress, Dutchess, Chute, and Central Gully and South Gully in Huntington Ravine. Zero visible cown lines but ample debris from the release of soft slabs running 3/4 length of many runout zones. Hillman's Highway has the largest debris pile and ran over 1000 feet in vertical relief. The avalanche debris had drifted snow on top, which leads me to believe the timing of the avalanches coencided or was just after the strongest winds overnight.

Dangerous avalanche conditions still exist due to refilled wind loaded slopes on most aspects, especially eastern. A persistent weak layer is 35cm deep on southern aspects and shows signs of fragile instability. Widespread whumphing was observed. Wind loaded snow was sensitive to human triggering  with density changes and areas with pooled graupel and rimed particles.
