Quick report
We went to the Mt. Rose area to look for some spring snow at higher elevations today. We found a better refreeze in this area above 9000' than what we found yesterday at lower elevations. The gullies off of the East face of Mt. Houghton had adequate snow coverage with generally good spring snow. Most areas were fully supportable with places under tree canopy, thin snow coverage spots, and lower elevations not supportable and mushy by late morning. Northerly aspects remained firm at midday with limited to no softening expected throughout the day.
