Cracking
specific

Noted cracking underfoot and shooting cracks up to 6 ft long, mostly in windloaded areas. Found 35 cm of recent snow with 20 cm from overnight/today. Roughly 10 cms of new snow from 10 am-1pm Snowfall became more gradual throughout the day, light to moderate winds with gusts around 30. Temps in upper 20s Dug 2 snowpits in a close to each other at 5,800, one in a windloaded area and one in a less windloaded area. Snow Depth ~100cm, thin crust/facet layer at 65 cm from the ground and Stout 3 cm crust with facets to the ground at 55 cm. Windloaded ECT result ECTP 1 20cm down on most recent/yesterday's windslab, ECTN 13 on thin crust/ facet layer, ECTN 26 on facets below Stout 3 cm crust. Non windloaded results, similar layers and depth. ECTP26 on Stout crust/ facet layer. Skied the more open spaces in the upper half cautiously, had no issues. Alder was out in force on the lower half of the hill.

Avalanche

Coming down the highway around 3 pm we saw a natural d1 r1 slab on a E aspect road cut and a sluff/point avalanche. Both appeared to be on the 1/8-1/9 snow interface. No pictures unfortunately:/
