Quick report
We went up to Paradise to see if there might be good skiing on the Muir snowfield. There was a lot of new snow below Panorama Point, but towards the top of Panorama point the southwest wind had swept the snow away down to the rocks and some bushes. We ended up turning around at the top instead of trying for the snow field as there was also a hard crust on top of the windswept snow and the wind was still gusting. We then skied some great laps off Alta Vista which had close to 2 ft of light snow on top of the Dec 18 crust. We didn't see any visible signs of avalanches and couldn't get the snowpack to crack at lower elevations when doing some compression tests.
