Quick report
Cold and windy at the trailhead this morning that quickly transitioned to calm winds by 10:00. Snow surfaces were firm below 6000'. Once on the ridge test slopes on NE aspects were stubborn and any slabs that released did not propagate past the width of my skis. Hand shears and CT showed the weakness in the new snow was present. We skied back on a SW aspect @ 6000' at 14:00 to find some pleasant corn skiing with minimal ski penetration.

Snowpack
18 cm of stiff wind transported snow from the early morning on a NE aspect @ 6000'. HS was 450cm and the depth of my pit was 130cm. Snow beneath the surface was a mix of saturated snow and wind packed precip particles. Snow at this elevation seem to be gaining strength. CTM SP 18 cm down and ECTX
