Quick report
It was a beautiful morning for a walk. Roughly 4-5 inches of new snow sat over a crust which resulted in a nice little refresh of conditions. The snow was low-density and generally poorly bonded to the crust below. Luckily, it didn't really matter today since there wasn't enough to create consequential avalanches where we traveled. We did note rollerballs and other wet avalanche activity on the sun-exposed slopes of East Peak as we gazed across from Bullion. On the sunny side of the Bullion ridge, the snow was heavier and consolidating in the sunshine - resulting in some clumping on our climbing skins and kicking off a few rollerballs and pinwheels. Again, nothing you could call an avalanche. We noted wind-effect up high with some subtle drifting and small cornice development, but didn't find any actual wind slabs.
Skiing was pleasant enough and made for a nice day out.
Weather
A mixed bag, but generally a really nice day. Bright sunshine and blue skies, with increasing clouds. Then the clouds left. Then they kind of came back again. Later in the day, it flurried for a few minutes.
